What document types can I create?
InvoiceFree supports: Invoice, Credit Note, Quote, and Purchase Order. All use the same tool — just switch tabs at the top of the generator.
Is my data private?
Absolutely. Your invoice data is never shared with third parties. If you use an account, your invoices are stored securely with row-level security — only you can see your data.
Creating Invoices
How do I add my logo?
Click the "Add Your Logo" box in the top-left of the invoice form. You can upload any PNG, JPG, or SVG image. Your logo will appear on the PDF invoice.
How do I add multiple line items?
Click the "+ Add Line Item" button below the items table. You can add as many items as you need. Each item has a Description, Quantity, and Rate field — the Amount is calculated automatically.
How do I add tax to my invoice?
In the settings bar near the top of the form, change the Tax dropdown from "Off" to "Percent (%)" or "Flat Amount". A tax input field will appear in the totals section where you enter the value.
Can I add a discount?
Yes. Change the Discount dropdown to "Percent (%)" or "Flat Amount" and enter your discount value in the totals section. Discounts are applied after subtotal and before tax.
What currencies are supported?
Over 40 currencies including USD, GBP, EUR, AED, PKR, INR, CAD, AUD, and many more. Select your currency from the dropdown in the settings bar.
Can I create a quote or purchase order?
Yes. Click the tabs at the top of the generator to switch between Invoice, Credit Note, Quote, and Purchase Order. The same form works for all document types.
PDF & Download
How do I download my invoice as PDF?
Click the green "Download Invoice" button at the top-right of the page or in the preview sidebar. Your invoice will be generated and downloaded instantly as a PDF file.
Is there a watermark on the PDF?
No watermarks — ever. Your PDF is clean and professional. The only text at the bottom is a small "Generated free at invoicefree.online" footer, which you can cover with your own footer text in the Notes field.
What format is the PDF in?
The PDF is A4 size, portrait orientation — the standard globally for business invoices. It's compatible with all PDF readers including Adobe Acrobat, Preview on Mac, and browsers.
Can I edit the invoice after downloading?
PDFs are not directly editable once downloaded. To make changes, go back to the invoice form, update your details, and download again. If you have an account, your invoices are saved so you can reference them any time.
Account
How do I create an account?
Click "Sign Up Free" in the navigation bar. Enter your name, email, and a password. You'll receive a confirmation email — click the link to activate your account, then sign in.
What does an account give me?
A free account lets you: save unlimited invoices, view your invoice history, track total amounts invoiced, and re-download any past invoice PDF at any time.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Click "Sign In" then "Forgot password?" Enter your email and we'll send you a reset link. Check your spam folder if you don't see it within a few minutes.
How do I delete my account?
To delete your account and all your data, email us at support@invoicefree.online with your registered email address and we'll process it within 48 hours.
